Recap: 2025 State of the Region
At the 2025 State of the Region, the Brampton Board of Trade brought together a sold-out audience of business leaders, policymakers, and community stakeholders for an insightful and forward-looking discussion on the economic and political forces shaping Peel Region. Presented in collaboration with the Mississauga Board of Trade and the Caledon Chamber of Commerce, the event delivered a full program of impactful perspectives from government officials, industry experts, and regional leaders.
From Gary Kent's comprehensive update on Peel Region’s progress and priorities, to Chair Nando Iannicca’s reflections on what lies ahead for our communities, attendees gained a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges influencing regional growth. The program also featured key insights from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s CEO, Daniel Tisch, who presented the Regional Economic Outlook, along with an informative session from Karen Mazurkewich on the economic significance of the Pearson Economic Zone. A highlight of the luncheon was the presentation of the prestigious Peel Police Service Award, recognizing exceptional dedication to community safety and leadership.
